Good morning Friends!
“I spread my hands out to you; my soul thirsts for you in a parched land. Answer me quickly, O Lord; my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me or I will be like those who go down to the pit. Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I will lift up my soul.” (Psalm 143:6-8). Again I say
“Let us lift our hearts and hands to God in heaven” (Lam 3:41)
God gave us a thirst for me; one that only he can quench. When we respond and put our trust in him; he will show us the way to go. So let us rejoice and praise the God who fulfills our every need!
On to the details of life:
Our camping trip was awesome! It was a much needed reprieve for me; I hope it was for those who attended as well. We missed you Sengua’s and LeFevre’s! I hope we are able to do it again.
This month’s meeting will be hosting a Sold no More Parenting Class on protecting your children from sexual exploitation; on the 27th 10-12 at the Village. We need as many of you that can come to help with childcare, setting up and cleaning up after. Please get the word out there and tell everyone you know; school, work and friends. There is a blurb on the Village weekly email and I will make a simple flyer to hand out.
November 8th is the Walk for Freedom. Yes, that is the same day as the Village Drumming Circle. However, I would love it if we could form a team for the walk or at least help in whatever way you can. Samantha has already formed a team on the fundeasy.com site called Bloom4Freedom. If you are not able to participate in the walk; consider helping fund the cause through the Bloom team. I also want your opinions on having our October meeting as a pancake breakfast fundraiser for the walk.
Before I go, remember that we are a community that prays for each other; please let us know how we can be praying for you!
Grace and Peace to you through the Father,
Carena
