Subject: exercising pigs

When we were in Page for our vacation we went with Kathy's cousin's kids to feed and care for the pigs the kids are raising for 4H club. They got the oinkers out of their sheds and sprayed water on the ground so the big bad wolf targets would have some mud to roll around in. Then they chased them back and forth down an alleyway to get them some heavy duty exercise. Apparently they only want muscle on these swine and little or no fat. I like my bacon and pork chops lean, but I didn't realize you had to have the daily 'running of the pigs' to make it so. Apparently huffing and puffing is not just for wolves anymore. I am not just being a ham either, this really happened. |
