I also give food and other things to them. And I know that many have mixed feelings about all this, but I would like to call you to think about something with me and pray about it. I have been thinking that I used to volunteer a lot of the food bank and for homeless shelters and for street outreaches to children on the street and I do none of that now. I really do not have money to donate to these things because I just do not have the money, but I do have time. And I have been thinking about volunteering for one of the local woman and children homeless shelters in town on the weekend maybe once a month, maybe more. I am not sure it is where God is leading me, but I have been thinking about it for months now every since we did the first fast with Nehemiah and praying for the city. Would you pray with me about it? If you have any words of wisdom, you can share them. I have just recently read through all the gospels and Jesus reached out to the poor and outcast and calls us to do the same. Anyway? That is my thought for the day.
