It looks like the state will probably shut down. I go to work tomorrow considered essential staff. All of my workers except the adoptions case managers and three ongoing workers don't. The hotline will shut down at midnight if their is no budget. Investigations of abuse and neglect of children will stop at midnight if there is no budget. We will not be able to place any children after midnight. Pray for the children.

From what I looked up online, it seems like the legislature has approved a budget, but the governor hasn't signed it...does this still mean that your programs are shutting down until the governor approves? Either way, I am praying.

We were supposed to be shut down until the governor approved the budget. The governor still has not approved it, but they are keeping the State open, so everyone came to work today. Praise God. Thanks for the Prayer.
