I can't sleep, so I thought I would let you all know what is happening with our first daughter.
Today, it was decided that our 2 year old with go for her first overnight on Thursday 4/17 with her bio-parents. She will stay 4 nights and return to us Monday morning. Then she will be with us until Tuesday for her regular visit, return to us that night, and again leave on Thursday 4/24, but this time for good.
We didn't expect for the transition to be this quick but a little more spaced out. Because of this, M will not be at church any further. Last Sunday was her last night to be with all of you. However, we would like to have a little celebration of her time with us and a send off on 4/23 (Wednesday-time to be announced later) at our home for those that would like to say goodbye. We also want to have the kiddos work on the pinata that we got for her Dec. birthday that we didn't use at her birthday party.
Please pray for her as we talk to her about what is about to happen. Also, please pray for her and her bio-family as they do this quick transition as we all can agree on wanting this to be her last move ever. We pray for a bright, beautiful, and peaceful future. We pray that God will quiet our fears and anxieties as well as hers. We pray for Ellie as she loses her big sister.

Subject: an exciting change

Today was a good court. Concerns were brought up and we were asked by the judge to speak on the issues. The conclusion is that transition will go slower for M. She will return permanently on May 8th to her bio-parents. She will also get to be in church one last Sunday (this Sunday) though she may have a rough time due to a first weekend of overnights...we thank you for the love you will give her that day though she is not at her best!
We will postpone her goodbye party until 5/7/08 evening since M is not leaving next week. We still hope that the little ones can make it with parents as well as those who have felt close to M and want a special goodbye with her.

Thanks for the update. I have been thinking of you and praying for your family. I am glad we all have a little more time to see her and say goodbye. I look forward to Sunday and to the time at your house.
